Double Down on country with Dallas Smith and Keith Anderson at Mavericks on Thurs, Nov. 19

Former DEFAULT lead singer Dallas Smith is amping it up with his country music career and coming to Mavericks at the Landing in Jacksonville tomorrow, Nov. 19. Co-headlining with rising star Keith Anderson, Smith will bring his energy, talent and new single, "Kids With Cars" to the Maverick stage at 8 p.m., followed by Anderson. Doors open at 6 p.m.

The single's new video premiered on CMT earlier this month, was featured in Billboard's "Tomorrow's Hits" and is the lead single from Smith’s EP KIDS WITH CARS. The title track has garnered early airplay on contemporary country stations including iHeart Radio’s nationally-syndicated Premium Choice programming and first started spinning on SiriusXM’s “The Highway.” Radio trade All Access lauds the track as a “very upbeat, nostalgic, contemporary country single that you’ll want to show some love.”

Smith has also been on The Huffington Post’s radar as one of 15 Country Artists To Watch in 2015, highlighting his ability to draw crowds of more than 25,000 fans. Armed with an arena-sized voice, Smith has amassed international appeal since making his American country debut with the infectious single “Tippin’ Point” and dominating the Canadian Country charts with songs like "Lifted" and multi-week #1 hit "Wastin' Gas."

Singer/Songwriter Keith Anderson’s latest song “I’ll Bring The Music” sums up Anderson to a T. Although he has co-written hits for other artists, most notably “Lost In This Moment”, the No. 1 smash for Big & Rich which garnered him a CMA and ACM Song of the Year nomination, Anderson does not write with other artists in mind.

“I think I’ll always write about what I know and feel–and typically with myself in mind. However, I write a lot and I keep the songs that are really speaking to me when I’m recording, and pitch everything else to other artists”, says Anderson.

Anderson also co-wrote the Grammy-nominated, “Beer Run (B Double E Double Are You In?)” for Garth Brooks and George Jones, “The Bed” for Gretchen Wilson and “Barn Burner” for Jason Michael Carroll. His debut CD, “Three Chord Country and American Rock & Roll”, was certified Gold and garnered two Top 10 hits, “Pickin’ Wildflowers,” and “Every Time I Hear Your Name,” along with two Top 30 hits “XXL” and “Podunk”. This success prompted music trades Billboard and Radio & Records to name him country music’s No. 1 New Male Artist of 2005 and the top new solo country artist of the year. Anderson was also named one of People Magazine’s “50 Hottest Bachelors”, and Men’s Fitness Magazine’s, “Ultimate Country Star”.
